The Magic of Green Tea
The latest corporate health funda is “Green Tea”. It is considered as symbol of high class society and one medicine to all their health issues. Well, of course there is no debate about health benefits of Green Tea; however, I would like to remind the corporate green tea drinkers that, it is a common drink of china. The ancient Chinese proverb says “better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one”.
What is Tea?
Tea is an agricultural product from the dried leaves, buds and twigs of “Camellia sinensis” plant which are prepared and cured under various methods. The beverage- tea is prepared by steeping this tea leaves in hot water. According to Chinese mythology, it is believed that tea was first consumed by legendary Chinese Emperor Shennong who lived 5,000 years ago (around 2,700 BC) and taught ancient China the practice of Agriculture. The tea is second most widely consumed beverage, after water!

Tips for a successful supervisor
When I asked one of my friends to define supervisor, he said, “Supervisor is a middle management employee on whose shoulder rest managements’ gun, used as sand bag by the subordinates and as punching bag by the customers”
. In real work scenario, this definition is very true because, most of the supervisors are internally promoted to that position without any proper guidance! And the result, new supervisor gets weighed down by the conflicting demands of the management, customers and sub-ordinates.
Who can become a supervisor?
Well, every one has the potential to become an effective supervisor provided, he /she understands their role and has the right approach towards the organization goals. The best of the employees not always make the best supervisors, at least, not without the proper guidance.
As a supervisor, it is important to clarify your job role, to your subordinates and other coordinating departments. Realize that you are no longer belongs to that “group’’ you used to hang around with. That doesn’t mean that you are estranged, it’s just relationship with different vision.
What are the important skills required for a supervisor?

Body Building tips
The trend of the day is to have athletic looking toned body and wash board abs. Every body is in the race to sculpture their body and gain chiselled looks. However, many fails to adapt a proper plan and thus body building becomes confusing for them
. It is not sufficient to just jerk some weights and drink protein shake to get that rippling muscles. Rather than following the routine of some muscle headed guys, understand your body first and stick to smart beginner plans and then you will come out ahead.
Many of my friends, who joined gym, got bored off after few days and dropped out. This does more harm than good. This happens because either they set un-realistic goals and the result, disappointment! Body building does not happen fortnight; it is a slow process and you need to involve body and mind to get the result. The father of modern body building, the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger says “the secret is to make your mind work for you; not against you”.

Boost your metabolism
After reading one on my recent articles on weight loss, a good friend of mine commented that the tips mentioned here would not help him, because his rate of metabolism is slower than mine. I have absolutely no idea how he guessed my basal metabolic rate
, but one thing he did get right : We all have different metabolic rate based on our genes & body structure. However what my good friend did not realize is that rate of metabolic activity also depends on our lifestyle, mainly :
- The food we eat
- Physical activities we do
This article will look at tips to improve our metabolism & maintain ideal body weight.
Let’s try to understand metabolism. The dictionary definition of metabolism is , “The whole range of biochemical processes that occur within us (or any living organism). Metabolism consists both of anabolism and catabolism (the buildup and breakdown of substances, respectively). The term is commonly used to refer specifically to the breakdown of food and its transformation into energy.”
Ha ha …… let me simply it for you – Metabolism is a process of producing energy ( calories ) by combining oxygen with nutrients in our body. Looking at this simpler explanation, it becomes evident that we can increase our metabolism by either increasing the nutrients we consume or by increasing the oxygen intake.

5 Tips to Boost Your Natural Immunity
The recent swine flu deaths have again brought to light the importance of developing strong immunity within our body. Most swine flu deaths around the world have happened in highly polluted cities or to people who have had a weak defense mechanism. We all have an inbuilt defense mechanism within us called immune system. It is this immune system that prevents us from catching common cold, flu or any other common illnesses on a regular basis. The strength of the immune system in our body decides how resistant we are to diseases.
In simple terms; Toxins are free radicals in our body that slowly kill our immune system & antioxidants are our friends that kill these free radicals. Thus to improve our natural immunity, we need to consume lots of antioxidants mainly present in vegetables & fruits. A well balanced diet is also vital, as any deficiency of nutrients in our body also reduce our immunity.
Other than these general tips, this article will focus on specific natural immunity boosting tips which are easy to understand & simple to follow.
